Policies & Fees

We are currently only lending to non-profits, schools and churches that can provide proof of their tax exempt status (a copy of your tax exempt letter)

We are hoping to expand hours soon, but for now we are only open Saturdays from 8am-10am.

Reservations

  • We are working on a reservation only system at the moment, meaning you must reserve tools ahead of time, we are not currently working with drop ins, or special pick up or drop off appointments.  We also have no way of dropping off tools or picking up tools from your sites, you must arrange transport, and lack of transport will still result in late fees.
  • We will begin to accept reservations at 9:00 am Monday morning for the upcoming Saturday, you can not reserve tools before this time.  Reservations will be taken on a first come first serve basis by emailing a list of desired tools to toolnola@gmail.com.  We will also only accept reservations from non-profits that we already have on file.  You can email toolnola@gmail.com to receive a membership application, but really, as long as we have a copy of your tax exempt form on file, you can reserve tools. To borrow tools you have to have the membership application filled out and waivers signed, but that can be done at pick up if need be.
  • You also must be in good standing to reserve or borrow tools.  Late tools, unpaid late fees, or unpaid bills at the end of the month will prevent you reserving or borrowing tools.  We will try to keep a published list on this blog of all non-profits in good standing.

Late Fees

  • late fees will accrue by the week, if tools are not returned the saturday they are due, you will be charged a $10 late fee for the week per ten tools you have check out.  If you have 1 tool checked out and it is late, the fee will be $10 (per week), if you have 10 tools checked out and they're late the total fee is still $10 (per week), if you have between 11-20 tools and they're late, the total late fee then becomes $20(per week), 21-30 is $30 per week and so on.
  • you do not have to pay the late fee when you return the tool, but you do have to pay the late fees before you are able to reserve or borrow tools again.

Lost, Stolen or Broken Tools

  • The borrower is responsible for replacing any lost or stolen tool.
  • if a tool is broken, and it deemed broken through misuse, the borrower is responsible for the repair fees, if we are able to fix it in house, the fees are for parts and $10 per hour labor, if it is fixed externally, we will be happy to show you the repair bill so you can better understand the charges
  • if a tool is deemed un-repairable, the borrower (assuming the tool was broken from misuse) is responsible for replacing the tool and any other fees that may have been incurred.
  • we ask that you please inform us if the tool is not working properly, or appears to be in need of repair or maintenance.
